We also provide qualifications, validations and preventive maintenance services at an additional cost. Please ask for a quote.

Quiet Operation

The ST series utilize quiet, highly efficient DC fans.

Widely Proven, Non-Proprietary Controllers

Standard controllers for the ST Series are manufactured by Fuji Electric and are ideal for stability testing chambers. Unlike many proprietary controllers, this controller is commercially available and proven in tens of thousands of installations. Standard functions include: autotuning, fuzzy logic, PID control, programmable alarms, calibration capability, ramp/soak, offset capability, etc. A touchscreen control interface is optional. Other controller manufacturers are also supported (Watlow, Allen-Bradley etc.)

Superior Control and Uniformity

The ST series chambers control well within the specifications required by the FDA and ICH for GMP studies. Standard control at the sensor in these chambers is ±0.2°C.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) About Stability Refrigerators

What Are Stability Refrigerators?

Stability refrigerators are specialized refrigeration units designed to provide precise and consistent temperature control for storing sensitive materials like pharmaceuticals, vaccines, biological samples, chemicals, and other temperature-sensitive products. These refrigerators are crucial in maintaining the stability and efficacy of stored items, as even slight temperature fluctuations can compromise their integrity. They are equipped with advanced temperature regulation systems and often include features such as:

  • Advanced Access Control: Secure access control systems to prevent unauthorized entry and ensure the safety and integrity of stored materials.
  • Backup Power: Backup power sources, such as battery backups or generators, to maintain temperature control during power outages and prevent the loss of valuable inventory.
  • Security and Alarm Systems: Integrated security features and alarm systems to monitor temperature deviations, door openings, and other critical parameters, alerting users to potential issues and allowing for immediate corrective action.
  • Full Temperature and Air Flow Control: Precise temperature control mechanisms and uniform air circulation systems to maintain stable temperature and humidity levels throughout the storage space, ensuring consistent conditions for stored items.
  • Organized Storage: Efficient storage configurations, including adjustable shelves, drawers, and compartments, to maximize storage capacity and facilitate organized inventory management.

Our stability refrigerators adhere to strict regulatory standards set forth by regulatory bodies such as the FDA/ICH (International Council for Harmonization of Technical Requirements for Pharmaceuticals for Human Use) to ensure compliance, safety, and accurate testing.

Who Would Need a Stability Refrigerator?

Researchers and academics, laboratories, manufacturing companies, biologists, and others might want a stability refrigerator to test products and run experiments.

There are a few industries that rely on stability refrigerators that include:

  • Pharmaceutical companies that need to store drugs, biological samples, and vaccines to test product lifespans and long term effectiveness.
  • Food manufacturers, distributors, and beverage companies use stability chambers and refrigerators to test shelf life and product safety.
  • Healthcare facilities and clinics that need to refrigerate vaccines, blood samples, and other medical supplies.
  • Quality control and environmental agencies that depend on quality control and product development often use stability refrigerators to store reference standards, calibration materials, and control samples for accurate analysis and testing.

Any industry, organization, or manufacturing company that needs to deal with temperature-sensitive materials under certain conditions (pressure, air flow, etc.) can benefit from a stability refrigerator.

What Can Be Stored in a Stability Refrigerator?

A stability refrigerator is designed to maintain precise temperature conditions for storing a variety of temperature-sensitive materials. Some common items that can be stored in a stability refrigerator include:

  • Pharmaceutical Products: Medications, vaccines, and other pharmaceutical products that require strict temperature control to maintain their stability over time.
  • Biological Samples: Blood samples, tissue cultures, DNA samples, skin cells, and microbiological cultures that need to be preserved at specific temperatures to prevent degradation.
  • Chemical Reagents: Laboratory chemicals, reagents, enzymes, and solutions that may lose potency if exposed to changes in temperature or humidity.
  • Reference Standards: Reference materials, calibration standards, control samples, and quality control materials used in analytical testing and quality assurance processes.
  • Diagnostic Kits: Diagnostic test kits, assay components, and laboratory consumables that require refrigerated storage to maintain their performance and reliability.
  • Food and Beverage Samples: Food products, beverages, and ingredients that need to be stored at controlled temperatures to prevent spoilage, maintain freshness, and ensure product quality.
  • Environmental Samples: Environmental samples collected for analysis. This includes soil, water, air, ice, and sediment samples that require refrigeration.

By providing precise temperature control and uniform storage conditions, these refrigerators ensure the reliability and accuracy of stored items, making them indispensable tools for research laboratories, pharmaceutical companies, healthcare facilities, and other organizations.
